Association For Interdisciplinary Research In Values And Social Change

The Association For Interdisciplinary Research In Values And Social Change, a professional organization for pro-life researchers and educators, offers a forum for an exchange of information from a wide range of scientific and social science disciplines. The Association's objectives include creating a network of Pro-Life professionals, encouragement of research and academic publications, in development of text books and curricula for high schools and colleges.

Since its inception, in 1986, The Association has focused heavily on encouraging research and publications on Post Abortion Syndrome, a pattern of psychological problems suffered by some women after abortion.

Recent issues of the quarterly Newsletter have included such topics as repeat abortion, adolescent abortion, and abortion and child abuse. Each year a Professional Paper Session is held before the National Right To Life Convention. Ground-breaking research has been presented at these sessions, including papers on the concept of Post Abortion Syndrome, the relationship between Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and negative after-effects of abortion, increased risks of physical health problems following abortion.
